Beautify your landscape and reduce water pollution at the same time.
The Stearns County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) has grant money for raingarden, native buffer, or shoreline restoration projects. Such projects help remove water pollution by reducing erosion, filtering pollutants and preventing stormwater from running off directly into lakes and rivers or indirectly by way of storm drains. They also add beauty to the landscape and provide a diverse habitat for wildlife in Stearns County.

If you own property in Stearns County and have been thinking about building a raingarden, protecting your shoreline or reducing your yard work , now is the time!
To see if your project is eligible for technical assistance, including design, oversight and up to 75% cost share assistance, please contact the Stearns County Soil and Water Conservation District at 320-251-7800 x 3.
